Hi there! I’m Alissa,
Creator of The Dance Class and I am here to ignite your passion for movement in a way that FEELS GOOD.
I believe fitness is more than a way to change your body. It is a portal to self discovery, healing and evolution.
I created The Dance Class to help inspire people to move in a sustainable way. I believe that movement is magic and dance is innate. For me, movement has always been the most powerful tool to release stuck energy and heal on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.
I spent over a decade in the group fitness industry teaching over 20 HIIT classes per week. My body was in constant pain. I watched clients push themselves to the limit, resulting in injuries and frustration.
I started to realize – there must be a better way.
After having my son I took a step back. I chose workouts that made me FEEL GOOD. I started actually listening to my body and syncing my workouts with the phases of my menstrual cycle and I started to feel powerful results. Not only did I see results physically, but I felt GOOD again. I felt like myself. Movement became my joy again, and that’s what I want for you.
